Friday morning brings showers, but expect storms by the afternoon — and cool temps this weekend

Showers over the gulf pushed onshore overnight bringing along with it some strong storms, heavy downpours and gusty winds Friday morning. That rain had moved through by 9 a.m., leaving the bay area with a mostly dry morning rush hour.
