Captain's Corner: Time to start hunting king mackerel

King mackerel will be a popular target for the next couple of months. The trick to finding the fish is to find the bait. The easiest way is to look for diving birds, especially white Arctic terns, which pick off baitfish on the surface. They make an erratic pattern of dives where bait is abundant.
