KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Joe Blanton picked up his first victory in nearly two years, pitching five innings and Alcides Escobar equaled his career high with four RBIs to lead the Royals. Blanton had not won since June 29, 2013, while with the Angels against Houston. He allowed one run and five hits.
