Serengeti Night Safari is Back!

You may be familiar with Serengeti Safari during the day, but, did you know that Busch Gardens offers a completely different experience after dark? Designed specifically for adults 21 and up, our Serengeti Night Safari is a two-and-a-half hour blend of entertainment and education, available for a limited time, and only for the adventurous and fun-loving. This experience is offered on select weekend nights, starting Jan. 17.

 

 

After Busch Gardens closes for the day, your guides will escort you to a private venue where delicious hors d'oeuvres and refreshing drinks await. There you’ll chat with your charming hosts and meet the other guests who’ll be joining you on your trek!

 

 

Amidst storytelling and laughter, your guides will gather the group and whisk them away to learn some choice techniques for spotting wildlife. You’ll use spotlights with special red-filters to aid in your search for wild animals of Africa. Before you know it, you’ll be meeting some of them face-to-face!

 

 

 

 

While the African savannah and surrounding Masai villages can be unpredictable, we’re sure that your new skills in wildlife detection (and your trusty guides) will aid you in discovering Nile Crocodile, lion, and hippopotamus. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next up on your Night Safari? Board an open truck to search for hoofed residents of the Serengeti Plain.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What’s that off in the distance? Antelope? Zebra? Wait a minute…while you were looking ahead, you missed what was approaching from behind. The hot breath on the back of your neck isn’t from one of your traveling companions, but from a rather tall reticulated giraffe!  After some quality time with these tall blondes, you’ll probably be ready for a break...

 

 

 

 

Sit back, relax, and enjoy drinks fireside while your hosts share colorful tales, their love of the spoken word, and the role it plays in African heritage. Don’t be surprised if the warmth and excitement attracts: White Rhinos , wildebeest, or Greater Kudu.

As your fireside tales come to a close, you’ll reboard the truck and head back for delectable desserts just for you. Share your favorite part of the night over a nightcap with joyous friends, new and old.
